As I see it, life is all about balance.
I’ve been noticing that, in this world, people tend to find whatever it is they are looking for.
More or less.
Optimists seek to see the best in people and situations, and will very often manage that for themselves, too. By contrast, a pessimist will constantly expect misery and failure, and are seldom surprised when it arrives in spades. Hot-heads, itching for a fight, will tend to find themselves embroiled in one. No-one ever reached the top without the ambition, drive and preparation to get there.
Spiritualists, seeking inner peace, will be rewarded when they take the time and opportunity to reflect and contemplate. Atheists see chance and dumb luck as the proof of order arising from chaos, and though Theists see much the same thing, they cannot put it down to random chance alone.
Seek, and you shall find… and it will usually be in the last place you’re looking…
Alternatively, it will be right where you left it.
Now, what are you searching for?
These are four T's of my life.
- Technology. This is the business arm of www.ianharrison.id.au. I've developed managed IT solutions for several customers over the last 15 years or so, including local governments and Optus World, and I've worked as an IT Consultant in Sydney, Cessnock, London and Dublin.
Computers were meant to make life easier. If your life isn't, yet is full of computers, contact me for a discussion about automation.
- R-T. Arty. When the logical half of my brain needs a break, I try to stimulate the creative side with music, logos and designs. Every graphic on this site has been created by me. I'd be more than happy to work on a design for you.
- Tales. I write both technical and non-technical documents, stories and have completed three novels so far. It's where the Artsy and the Technological meet. I will create a professionally-designed technical manual for you that can be as granular and detailed as you like, yet accessible to novices.
Or you can just read excerpts from some of my other acclaimed stories, including my three novels : "No Man's Land", "Don't You Know Who I Am?" and "Absolute Knowledge".
- Spirituality. A lower-case 't' for a very unique case. I reckon Easter is the most important Holiday of the year.
Being an IT Professional, I have often found myself at either Sourceforge or GRC to see what projects my contemporaries are working on. I've adapted this very website from Steve Gibson's elegant approach, though I've also referenced many other sites - I've been a citizen of the Internet since 1993. There's lots of help and knowledge on the Web. Get out there and ask - or have me do it for you.
